When the sun emerged from behind the clouds that morning, it was nothing short of glorious. Standing atop the dunes, the view on all sides is pure beauty. The marsh stretching out into Barnstable Harbor, Cape Cod Bay, the dunes, sand, and vegetation. Pure nature.

As I sit at my desk this cold  March morning, after a winter of near-weekly snowfall, it’s hard to imagine that warmer days will arrive again. But they will, as they do each year, but perhaps this year more tentatively than others.

Meanwhile, if you’re dreaming of warmer days, stop by Barnstable Town Hall and you can see images from my stay at Sandy Neck this past September. Thirteen photographs are on the walls of the two second-floor hearing rooms. 367 Main Street, Hyannis, MA.
